Free iPad x 2

Seeing double?  In a two week time span I have won two ipads.  I think I should write a book titled, "How to Win a Free iPad". Could be a real money maker. The thing is, while I'm good at winning ipads, I have no idea how.  Karma?

My husband and I won our first ipad two weeks ago at my school's auction. The funny thing is, I absolutely had a sense about it, similarly to predicting Monet's exact birthday. The night of the auction, we had already bought one ticket and were content with that, but in the middle of a conversation I demanded Josh go buy another ticket. I was very insistent, similar to a two year old who might want a cookie.  Josh hurried over, scared I might make a scene.  And sure enough we won!

Now fast forward exactly two week, to the exact hour, maybe even the exact minute.  I was attending the Casual Blogger Conference, here in Salt Lake City.  Screamin Coupons was sponsoring the event and donated an ipad to the raffle.  It was quite remarkable to look at my ticket, almost in slow motion, as I heard my number read off.  I was the winner!  Thanks Screamin Coupons!

I can hardly believe it, two ipads in two weeks.

The first ipad we won has become Josh's new best friend. I've barely touched the thing. And the second ipad, well, it still sits all nice and neat in its box. I'm not for sure what exactly to do with it. Should I keep it and use it? Should I sell it?

Hmmm, what do you think?

While I don't know exactly what to do with the ipad, one thing I know for sure, I think maybe Josh and I should enter more raffles!

It's Time To Party, Thrift Sore Quiz

At 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, Monet, Josh and I headed out to do a little thrift store shopping.  Monet's birthday is coming up and so Josh and I thought maybe we could get a jump start on finding decorations for her party.

After deciding on a theme, and finding a few goodies to jump start our party decor, I jumped online to discover that one of my favorite bloggers had a party with this same theme back in 2007.

What theme have we chosen for Monet's party?  And which popular blogger am I referring to?

A free $10 gift certificate, to either one of our Etsy shops, will be rewarded to the first person who gets one of these questions correct.  Good luck!

Congratulations go out to urban craft.  Thank you for sharing your heart warming story with us!

urban craft said...

my mother is the strongest person I know. My father passed away and was ill for many years and I can't believe she didn't come out of it without honestly turning a little insane. My mother not only goes out of her way for her family but is willing to find ways to help strangers and mankind as a whole. She is my model for God and I pray that I turn out to be just like her.

I can't tell you how this is such an awesome giveaway. Thanks so much.

Baby Giveaway

To closeout our baby series, we are going to end with a fabulous baby giveaway.  It's been fun strolling down baby lane, but we at The Artists' House are excited to get back to "art talk" next week.  For all you new parents, or friends and family of new parents, I hope these posts have been helpful.

Drum roll please....

We have not one, not two, but three fabulous gifts for you.  And here's what you could WIN...

Lacey from Lilacs and Lollipops, she was mentioned yesterday in our Etsy Direction, is donating any, that's right, any HideAway nursing cover from her shop.

Don't you love her fabrics?  These coverups are a must for nursing mothers.  Let's just say that mine was a lifesaver the first time I flew home with Monet.  She nursed four times as I sat next to a complete stranger on a tiny plane; poor guy, I really felt bad for him.  You can read about Monet's and my Great Adventure if you want.

Now back to this wonderful giveaway...

In addition to the coverup, you will also win TWO screen-printed onesies, a frog and a fish, size 6 months and size 12 months, from our Etsy shop.

And we're still not done folks.  You will also WIN a fabulous pair of Organic Baby Legs to go along with the cute onesies above.

These Baby Legs will grow with your baby, fitting him/her for years.

How do you win?

You can enter to win in one of FIVE different ways, or increase your chances of winning by doing all five of the submission choices below.

But, please note that you must enter in a separate comment for each entry submission.

1.  Leave me a comment.  Please remember to leave me with your email address so I can contact if you win.

And thanks again to Lacey, from Lillacs and Lollipops, for donating to this giveaway.

Our First Giveaway Prize

Congratulations Kristin, on being the first winner of our 10x10 giveaway.  I like what you've picked out for yourself.  I've had a love affair with this bag from the moment I made it.  I hope you love it too.

Now keep those comments coming and you too could be the next winner.

The First Winner Is...

As our fledgling blog grows, we have received comments from over ten people and are proud to announce the first winner of our 10x10 giveaway. The winner receives a $10 gift certificate to the Artists' House Sales site as www.theartistshouse.etsy.com. You should also know that there are nine more giveaways to go, so keep those comments coming. For every tenth commenter we will randomly chose the winner of another $10 gift certificate.

And the winner is...

Kristin, author of the blog "Running On."

In an effort to be completely transparent and to avoid any bad press, such as Toyota is currently getting for trying to grow too quickly and losing sight of quality, I must disclose that Kristin is family. However, she is an in-law and not blood related so it's almost like she's just a casual acquaintance right? If anyone disagrees with my logic, thinks Kristin should be disqualified, and/or is offended by the comment I so callously made about in-laws, please leave a comment below and you may be the next winner in our 10x10 giveaway.

Please also remember that we are having a second giveaway of $100 to be awarded by randomly selecting one of our followers once we officially have 100 registered followers of our blog.

The Race to 100 in Honor of the Winter Games - A Huge Giveaway

In the spirit of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, we at The Artists' House are inspired to have a little competition of our own. We will be hosting the "Race to 100," with $200 worth of prizes up for grabs. There are two events, each with a goal of 100 in mind.

The first event is the "10x10 Comment Relay" (this adds up to 100 right). For each 10th commenter who responds to a blog post on The Artists' House Blog, we will randomly select a number, and award one of those 10 commenters with a $10.00 gift certificate to The Artists' House Shop hosted by Etsy (www.theartistshouse.etsy.com). At this site you can choose from a variety of gifts ranging from appliqued clothing and felted treasures created by Angela, to jewelry and ceramics hand-crafted by Josh.

The grand prize in our Race to 100 goes to the winner of the "100 Follower Freestyle." For this event, once 100 followers are registered to our blog, we will be giving away a $100.00 gift certificate to The Artists' House Shop hosted by Etsy (www.theartistshouse.etsy.com) to spend on any combination of items you choose.

So my friends, be sure to leave those comments and/or register yourself as a follower and let the games begin.

Anyone may register as a follower by clicking on the "Follow" box located in the far right column and following the prompts given. Comments may be left at the end of each blog section by clicking on the word "COMMENTS" in the area just below each post.
